Facial Lasers

Facial lasers are non-invasive or minimally invasive cosmetic procedures that use concentrated beams of light to target various skin concerns on the face. There are different types of facial lasers, each with specific wavelengths of light suitable for addressing different needs.

A CoolPeel treatment is a non-invasive, non-surgical office procedure that targets the superficial layer of skin. It is performed to reduces sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, rosacea, large pores, and blemishes to reveal smoother, healthier, younger-looking skin with a more even tone and texture.

CoolPeel

A CoolPeel treatment is a non-invasive, non-surgical office procedure that targets the superficial layer of skin. It is performed to reduces sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, rosacea, large pores, and blemishes to reveal smoother, healthier, younger-looking skin with a more even tone and texture.

How it Works

CoolPeel and CO2 lasers are both types of CO2 lasers used for facial rejuvenation, but CoolPeel offers a different approach to achieve similar results with less downtime. Here's a breakdown of how they work:

CO2 Lasers:

  • Traditional CO2 Lasers: These lasers deliver continuous or pulsed beams of CO2 laser light.

  • Ablation: The laser energy vaporizes targeted tissue in the epidermis and dermis (skin layers). This ablative process removes wrinkles, sun damage, and scars, but it also creates significant wounds that require healing time.

  • Healing and Collagen Production: As the wounds heal, the body produces new collagen, leading to tighter and smoother skin.

  • Downtime: Traditional CO2 lasers involve significant downtime, often weeks, as the skin heals from the ablative process.

CoolPeel CO2 Laser:

  • Technology: CoolPeel uses a specific type of CO2 laser called the SmartXide Tetra CO2.

  • Shorter Pulses: Unlike traditional CO2 lasers, CoolPeel utilizes ultra-short, high-peak power pulses.

  • Minimal Ablation: These short pulses target only the outermost layer of the skin (epidermis) with minimal thermal damage to surrounding tissues.

  • Controlled Micro-injury: CoolPeel creates microscopic channels in the skin, triggering the body's natural healing response and collagen production.

  • Reduced Downtime: Due to the minimal ablation and thermal damage, CoolPeel offers significantly less downtime compared to traditional CO2 lasers. Most people experience minimal redness and flaking that resolves within a few days.
