PRP Treatments In Scottsdale, AZ

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy in Scottsdale, AZ is a great way to improve the tone, texture and overall appearance of skin, using the body’s own platelets to spur natural rejuvenation. This procedure is safe, effective and extremely positive for your skin!

Allure Medspa is proud to offer PRP therapy in tandem with Eclipse MicroPen® technology. This winning combination can have a positive effect on the appearance of hyper-pigmentation, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks, and generally creates a fresher appearance or glow to the skin.

How It Works

PRP therapy starts by isolating and concentrating natural growth factors within the body. This is done by drawing blood, which contains platelet-rich plasma that can be activated to promote these growth factors. When activated, these platelets signal the demand for protein production, resulting in the body’s natural processes working to respond to this demand.

When injected back into the body in areas of damaged skin, the activated platelets enhance production of at least eight essential proteins, including collagen. As enhanced levels of proteins flood into the body, they go to work repairing and restoring skin at the injection site, resulting in a healthier appearance!

Personalized Results

Because PRP therapy uses the body’s own processes to its advantage, patients often experience exceptional results. This can include reduction of age spots and sun spots, as well as wrinkles, fine lines, blemishes and more. Best of all, because the platelet-rich plasma is retrieved from each unique person, there’s virtually no risk of rejection or reaction!

PRP Overview

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a substance that’s thought to promote healing when injected. Plasma is a component of your blood that contains special “factors,” or proteins, that help your blood to clot. It also contains proteins that support cell growth. Researchers have produced PRP by isolating plasma from blood and concentrating it.

PRP- (Platelet Rich Plasma)

After a blood sample is obtained from a patient, the blood is put into a centrifuge, which is a tool that separates the PRP from the blood. The blood is spun for approximately 10 minutes. PRP contains highly concentrated amounts of natural growth factors and other cytokines that promote the regeneration process of soft tissues. The PRP is applied directly to the channels that were created from the micro-needling to further stimulate the natural healing process and creation of collagen.

This is ideal for the treatment of acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and fine lines, hyper-pigmentation, lax skin, sun damaged, large pores, and uneven skin texture.

PRP Facial Injections

For facial rejuvenation, PRP may be placed under the skins surface with a cannula. A cannula is a blunt needle that slides under the skin’s surface allowing for placement of PRP into the desired areas while minimizing bruising. Deficits under the eye, hollowing in the temples, and the loss of volume in the cheeks are some desired areas for treatment. For surface improvements combine this procedure with the Micropen™ with PRP for the most effective treatment. For volume restoration it works synergistically with dermal fillers (Voluma, Juvederm, etc).
